WinterTide exhibit in Hot Springs!
If you have followed along on my blog you might be anxiously awaiting the scoop on my recent fun appearance in the WinterTide exhibit at the Fine Arts Center at Hot Springs. We had a lovely weekend in Hot Springs – and you can read how excited I was to get to Hot Springs here!
Hubby and I both love the area. We had a conversation this weekend as to why we liked it so much. Neither of us could pinpoint exactly what the draw was to us. But after talking we did decide that it was the simple things, such as the history, the laid back feel to the town, and the infusion of nature. Each time we visit we see some of the same things that we love and we usually wander across other activities that we didn’t know were going on but truly enjoyed.
So here are some of the photos specifically from the WinterTide exhibit. I’ll be sharing more of the weekend trip a bit later!
TWO photos accepted to WinterTide Art Show in Hot Springs, AR
So excited to share with you that TWO of my photos were accepted to the finals of the WinterTide Arts Show in Hot Springs, AR at the Fine Arts Center of Hot Springs which will begin December 7 and run thru the 29th . This past March my photo “Thick Mist” was accepted to the finals of the Regional Show.
What exciting news!

The outcome of the recent competition in Hot Springs, AR
You may have read a recent post in which I shared with you that my photo “Thick Mist” was accepted to the Hot Springs Fine Arts Center Regional Competition. I wanted to share with you the outcome: Turns out that though I did not place in the top 5 in the competition I did find out that I was one of the 38 selected out of 137 entries for the competition. I was quite excited! So here are a few photos from the night of the announcement and gallery walkthru.

Yesterday I received word that my photo “Thick Mist” was chosen for the ~ 40 finalists for the Hot Springs Fine Arts Council Regional Council! I am so excited & honored! If you live in the area you can attend the First Friday Gallery Walkthrough on March 2nd where the winners will be announced sometime between 5 and 9 pm. You can also see the works of art during normal center hours thru the month of March.

Art Show appearance results!
Made it thru my first art show! No one was maimed or injured in the process! Actually, I received many compliments (blushing profusely!!) and met many new people. Even sold a few photos!

I’ll be participating in an art show and sale with my lovely mother (who draws & paints) this coming weekend in Bullard, TX just south of Tyler, TX.It is a benefit show for the Mission House of Bullard.
