Daffodils: Spring 2013!

It is so exciting to see the daffodils blooming! That is when I know that Spring is here – despite whatever cold snap comes along. So I wanted to share some of the early daffodil photos with you. I took them this morning after that little cold front brought more rain. I love the raindrops on them. The “Reflecting Daffodil” intrigued me in that you can see the reflection of the ground – not yet green. Then the naughty “Flashing Daffodil” offers a little peek into her bloom. And the sweet “Angel Daffodil” shows off her wings. Enjoy!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Green

Green – a beautiful color in nature! I’m not so fond of it in other areas and not certain why…. hmmm…

OK, back to the topic at hand. These two photos were taken in the area around Multnomah Falls and Wakheena Falls. I am in love with the first photo of the leaf with the raindrops!

The second photo is of a waterfall in the area. I like the stone around it and the lovely green against the bubbly water.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Today!

I just saw the weekly challenge coming out on fellow bloggers blogs with the word Today and it was to be a photo from today…So I hurried out to get a photo of what I’ve been meaning to photograph and share for weeks…my recently planted fig tree.  I had to plant a fig tree to honor, if you will, the memories of eating figs in my great aunt Floy’s backyard. So now I have little figs (could I get away with calling them fig-lets??) growing! Here are a few photos of them. One includes my hand & wedding ring just to show size.

After The Bubbly

Here is a “modified” version of my photo “Blooming Pink”. I wanted something whimsical yet pretty and just love the girlish color of pink and the raindrops on it. Then add in the effect that makes it a bit whimsical. Enjoy!

Lilies and Rain – pictures from yesterday

It’s raining here in Portland where I work and it seems that the lilies are, hopefully, late to bloom – versus not blooming at all this year. So I have dug into the photos from the past years to share some lilies with raindrops. I think they are especially pretty with raindrops as it brings out the colors. Then my favorite part is the pixy dust (or pollen) on them. Enjoy!

(P.S. You can purchase my photo book on lilies here. In addition, there are some photos of lilies in my book Flowers For Your Coffee Table and Tisha Clinkenbeard Photography Portfolio.)
