52 Tuesdays Challenge #10: Terminus

Terminus= end.

I chose the word today to truly share the thought that even though there comes a terminus or an end it is usually followed by a new beginning. The first is a photo of a sunset taken in Muskogee, OK. There were some beautiful ones this past fall and my husband and I enjoyed them all sitting in our lawn chairs with a good cigar, holding hands and beers. And each day gave us another day to enjoy the sunset.

This next photo is all the fun of doing a project with your kiddos. While one project may end there is always another project to start! And my family never likes posing for photos so you see their growling faces.

This third photo is the one that shows the terminus or end of a lot of hard work, sweat, tears, and a celebration of accomplishments.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Home

Home is where your heart is.

Home has several different meanings for me. It is the physical place that I share with my husband and all our four-legged children as well as our two-legged children. My heart is always with my husband so in that sense the arms of my husband are my home.

But to share in the challenge this week of home I thought I would share some of my favorite photos of home.

Black & White Sunset

This sunset seems to really come to life with the change to black and white. I took it this past fall in Oklahoma. Enjoy!

Fiery sunset on the pond

Just another sunset – not quite

One night last week Hubby and I were returning from grocery shopping and as we neared our place the sunset was spectacular. While sitting there I swear I was jumping off the seat in the truck because I wanted the chance to photographic it at our place where a large pond/small lake is nestled filled with lily pads. So as soon as the truck came to a halt I was outta there and inside for my camera. Long story short – here is the result! Enjoy!

This second photo you will notice what appears to be a line along the horizontal bottom third of the photo and even a red line. This is actually the reflection off the water of the sunset.

Where’s My Backpack Travel Challenge: Sunset

I struggled with this challenge for quite some time. Then I happened upon a photo while doing my search for the animal challenge. To me, it is the epitome of the combination of travel and sunset as it was taken from my plane window during a rain shower and at the time of sunset. Magical!

So here you go – my travel challenge submission for sunset! Enjoy!

A-Z Archive Challenge: Z-Almost ZZZZZ time

A-Z Archive Challenge: W= Weekends

Here are some photos of some of my weekends of the past:

From my airplane window – part 2 – pictures from yesterday

From my airplane window – pictures from yesterday

I’ve traveled a lot for work. Most of the time I fly to my destination. So while I sit on the plane waiting for all the less than pro travelers to settle in (no offense intended) I tend to take pics. And, of course, once we get up in the air there are often sights that are just gems from a wonderful perspective not usually seen on the ground. Anyway, that was long, so here are a few of those photos!

From my airplane seat. Had left Indianapolis where snow had begun hard enough to require de-icing. Gave a unique view of the sunset after takeoff!

Weekly Photo Challenge – Peaceful

I’ve not done a weekly photo challenge before but thought with the new year that I might participate. It may not be every week but those that I feel I have some photo to share on the topic.

So this week is Peaceful. To me, peaceful can be seen in different ways so I am sharing several photos. Enjoy!

Not fancy but a bright spot in a long trip – post from yesterday

While making a long trip (6 hours one way) this sunset made the last few hours a bit more tolerable. Though it isn’t a fancy pic it was a soothing sight for me.

An evening on the deck – picture from yesterday

Though I’m a few hours early – this reminds me of my mood tonight – a night listening to the critters, enjoying the company, and relaxing, thanking God for the blessings in my life.

Fall

A little late, perhaps, on this one…
