Wikipedia defines rule of thirds as:
an image should be imagined as divided into nine equal parts by two equally spaced horizontal lines and two equally spaced vertical lines, and that important compositional elements should be placed along these lines or their intersections.
So as part of the WordPress Daily Challenge of Rule of Thirds here are two photos, nature oriented, for the challenge:
A new photo of mine – Frozen – made Photo of the Day on Light & Composition. This one is pretty special as I took the photo with my iPhone this past winter after an ice storm tore thru our area.
Cee’s Black & White Challenge of Cars, Trucks & Motorcycles – this is fun! These are from Car d’Alene in Couer d’Alene, Idaho from Father’s Day weekend in 2013. We had a great time!
I really like black and white when something has distinctive tones to it so I am happy to do Cee’s Black & White Challenge of Pets!
Found this new challenge using the iPhone. And since I just got mine a month or so ago and am having a blast using the camera I thought I would try the weekly challenges. Here is my first shot (no pun intended) at the Black & White challenge.
Keep in mind that I don’t have many photos on my iPhone yet so look for more to come!
