We just came back from a fabulous vacation in the Turks & Caicos islands. We rented a cottage and three of our good friends, more like family, came along with us. We had a blast! So I wanted to share with you the how-to that my husband made with our good friend/brother-at-heart, Terry. Hope you laugh as much as I did!

I like the word that Cee chose for the Fun Foto Challenge: TWO. I want to share with you two photos from a trip that our daughter and I (two of us) took in October. And we had two much fun!! (yes, I know it should be too but I’m having fun with this!)
This first one is from the Tower of the Americas in San Antonio. There were TWO big foot prints from Tex (the big dude at the State Fair) that had trivia on them and our daughter stood on them.

This second picture is of our celebration of The University of Texas at Austin (UT) kicking OU’s hinnie. (Yes, I am an alumni) I had a Shocktop beer and she had water and we had a great time all around!
A fabulous weekend with two fun loving females!!
Time for the Weekly Photo Challenge and this week is Habit! At first it was hard to think of what my habits are and wondered if I even had photos! But scrolling back thru my photos I found a couple that show one of my daily habits – my hangout with the two dogs and two cats. Now when I’ve been gone from home they are especially fond of wanting to be right next to me or in my lap and often its a race to see who can get there first!

Getting back into the groove on blogging again, I go back to one of my fav bloggers and this is one of her challenges: Share Your World Week 37!
Here are the questions and my answers:
What is your favorite outdoor activity? In the summer definitely hanging out in our swimming pool with my husband, a good book, our kiddos, and/or a good, cold beer and a cigar. Any combination works and if I can have them all at the same time I’m a happy lady! So here’s a peek at our “redneck” swimming pool:
For those who might be confused it is in our very large pond and that wood you see at the bottom right is our pier. Works wonderfully! (photo courtesy of our neighbor).
Do you prefer your food separated or mixed together? I’m totally a separated person except when it comes to mashed potatoes and boudain.
But I don’t have many photos of my meals so I’ll show you one of my favorite meals – my husband’s fantabulous ribs!
If you could live anywhere in the world where would you live?
I have to say the Caribbean. Beautiful water, lovely beaches, windsurfing, great food… I could go on.
And, last question, what household chore do you hate doing? Well, I’ll admit it- all of them!!!
I chose the word today to truly share the thought that even though there comes a terminus or an end it is usually followed by a new beginning. The first is a photo of a sunset taken in Muskogee, OK. There were some beautiful ones this past fall and my husband and I enjoyed them all sitting in our lawn chairs with a good cigar, holding hands and beers. And each day gave us another day to enjoy the sunset.
This next photo is all the fun of doing a project with your kiddos. While one project may end there is always another project to start! And my family never likes posing for photos so you see their growling faces.
This third photo is the one that shows the terminus or end of a lot of hard work, sweat, tears, and a celebration of accomplishments.

And so we begin with the first in the series of the 52 Tuesdays! This Tuesday the challenge word is TREASURE.
So what is the official definition of treasure? According to Merriam Webster:
1: wealth (as money, jewels, or precious metals) stored up or hoarded; wealth of any kind or in any form : riches
2: something of great worth or value; also : a person esteemed as rare or precious
3: a collection of precious things
I consider each of my photos a treasure – of having great worth. They each represent an experience, a special find along the road of my life. Though I have no favorite photo – because I love them all – I couldn’t pick just one to show you.
After The Shower
My biggest, most precious treasure is my husband. You may have seen his photo around here a bit. He is often my not-so-willing subject! Yet he is my biggest supporter in my photography.

Then I had to think of the last of the definition – a collection of precious things. You may not know but I collect rabbits – not the live ones but inanimate rabbits. I am privileged to have a curio case that belonged to my late mother-in-law to showcase them in.

What are your treasures? Tell us about them and be sure to link back to this post!
I know that this challenge was weeks ago, Big, but I just now thought of something to do for it. Last winter we were in Beavers Bend, OK, doing some casual hiking and found this huge tree that we could stand in. Here are a couple of photos of it.
