52 Tuesdays Challenge #23: Together

Welcome to week 23 of the 52 Tuesdays Challenge! Each week I chose a word that begins with at T and share my photos, stories or even a quote. I ask that you join me in the Challenge and share your own photos, stories, quotes, whatever as well. Just link back to this blog post or add your own blog post link to the comments. Have fun!

This week’s T word is Together!

What I love about the word together is that it means we are sharing, doing, being – all of us at the same time. And then it makes me curious about what everyone else is doing, together!

One quote that fits the word this week is:

The best thing to hold on to in life is each other – Audrey Hepburn .

My husband and I love to adventure together. Sometimes, if things don’t go perfect, he’ll say “Making memories”. And we laugh because it is true. They will be adventures to tell our grandchildren about. So enjoy my Together photos and the accompanying stories then share yours with everyone by linking back to this wee’s T Challenge!

Because I love vodka martinis and lots of color, this display on the cruise ship from our honeymoon is a still-life favorite – nothing better than vodka and olive juice together!

This photo is from our honeymoon. We were in Vancouver and taking a tour of the city. At the park this little family of raccoons hung out together asking for ice cream leftovers. They were pretty cute!

You’ve probably seen posts of my pets on the blog. My cat, Tori, came with me into our family and then Cedar was our next pet to be added. Cedar loved to try to play with Tori, but most of the time she ignored him. But I did snag a picture of them napping together once…

52 Tuesdays Challenge #21: Tree

Welcome to week 21 of the 52 Tuesdays Challenge! Each week I chose a word that begins with at T and share my photos, stories or even a quote. I ask that you join me in the Challenge and share your own photos, stories, quotes, whatever as well. Just link back to this blog post or add your own blog post link to the comments. Have fun!

This week’s T word is Tree!

I love flowers so a flowering tree is a big bonus for me. The one I am sharing with you today is one of my favorites – it is in the yard where my husband grew up. I also love it because it is just a beautiful representation of the seasons. So I’m sharing with you today the series “Glenna’s Dogwood”.  (Glenna being my husband’s late mother.)

52 Tuesdays Challenge #20: Tranquil

Welcome to week 20 of the 52 Tuesdays Challenge! Each week I chose a word that begins with at T and share my photos, stories or even a quote. I ask that you join me in the Challenge and share your own photos, stories, quotes, whatever as well. Just link back to this blog post or add your own blog post link to the comments. Have fun!

This week’s T word is Tranquil: peaceful, quiet, calm.

My tranquil places are all in nature. I absolutely love the beach! So I thought I would share new photos with you of some of my past trips to the beach. (and some have my family in them because it’s even more fun with family!)

Love it when my hubby shares what he finds when we are snorkeling!

Ground: In Black &White

How I do adore nature! Part of my fun in photographing nature is to look for the different perspective in what I see around me. Maybe you’ll find that little spider crawling on the flower or that beautiful burst of color in the center of the fall leaves. So Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge this week is ground.  The first of the photos is one of the beach in Maui  where in the early morning I found a child’s footprints in the sand. The second of the photos is a fall photo with some leaves and rocks. The third of the photos is where I took some liberties with the challenge. Since we love to snorkel the “ground” becomes the floor of the ocean. So with that in mind I am sharing a photo of the ocean, also in Maui, which has one of my favorite little creatures in it – an octopus. I hope you enjoy!
